2024 GMC HUMMER EV SUV Manhattan KS
The second of the two incredibly exciting GMC HUMMER EVs will be released as part of the 2024 model year. The first, which was the pickup truck variety, was released for 2022. The upcoming model is the 2024 GMC HUMMER EV SUV, the sport utility vehicle version of the resurrected nameplate. HUMMER was originally its own brand beneath the General Motors umbrella, but these two models mark the first time they’ve been utilized since the brand was discontinued in 2010. We cannot wait for the second of the new HUMMER EVs to arrive here in Manhattan, Kansas, next month.
Performance & Capabilities
The HUMMER EV SUV is powered by General Motors’ Ultium Platform, which features a three-motor e4WD drive system capable of generating up to 830 horsepower alongside 11,500 pound-feet of torque. Many years ago, one of the biggest fears of vehicles turning towards electric power was that they wouldn’t be powerful enough, but this is an excellent example of that not being the case. That’s a ton of power!
Battery System & Range
In addition to the three-motor system, the HUMMER EV SUV also features a 20-module, double-stacked Ultium battery. This system enables the vehicle to be driven more than 300 miles on a full charge if it isn’t equipped with the available Extreme Off-Road Package. With an 800-volt DC public fast charging capability of up to 300 kW, you’ll be able to charge the battery pack pretty quickly to keep it going even further.

As the pinnacle of the GMC brand, the HUMMER EV SUV will be absolutely packed full of the most incredible features and technologies. Some of the most exciting things we already know about include Watts To Freedom, which enables a 0-60 mph sprint of 3.5 seconds, satellite-rendered trail mapping, a massive 13.4” display audio system and 12.3” driver information display and so much more!
