2024 GMC Sierra HD

So much is changing in the Sierra HD family for 2024 that it might be easier to explain what isn’t new, but that’s not nearly as exciting. The lineup benefits from upgrades to their interior cabins, the technologies that they have to offer and their towing capabilities. All three of these aspects are drastically improved, but plenty of additional changes and enhancements can be found throughout the vehicle.

Naturally, the Sierra HD family of pickup trucks are the most capable vehicles on the GMC lineup. That continues in the new versions, but let’s highlight some of the most impressive capabilities in the new models. The 2500HD can accommodate up to 22,500 pounds, which is an increase of more than 4,000 pounds compared to its predecessor, and the Crew Cab model can trailer up to 21,900 lbs. itself. As for the 3500HD, it can trailer up to 36,000 lbs. This is thanks in large part to the available 6.6L Duramax Turbo-Diesel V8, which is capable of generating up to 470 horsepower alongside 975 pound-feet of torque.

The Denali Ultimate is the new top-of-the-line trim level available in select GMC models so far, but the 2024 model year will see the first of this state-of-the-art trim for the Sierra HD. It takes the already luxurious Denali trim and adds even more premium accoutrement to the truck, including things like full-grain leather and some features that were only available on lesser trims.
